I really enjoyed taking this couples pictures! If anything could go wrong it certainly did on this proposal it was so comical!

Alejandro had two options where he could propose, one... he could do it on the path that had the beautiful Spanish moss hanging from the trees.

Two... But if it should start to rain he could propose inside the gazebo. Well it started to sprinkle!

So off to the gazebo but, oh no someone was already in it! 

So there I go running to the path where the trees were, meanwhile Alejandro lost his sense of  direction so he's walking his girlfriend around the park trying to get to where I was.

My assistant which is my husband is running around trying to guide him without Ita seeing him.

Ita is wondering what in the world is my boyfriend doing walking me around in the rain?

Not to mention that this is SC. where the weather is very hot and humid and the mosquitos love to feast!

But, finally Alejandro got down on one knee and proposed as you can see from the picture. 

So, this is part of the story that they can share with their family, friends and their children in the distant future.

Let's talk about how they met. Alejandro and Ita actually met and started dating in the 10th grade and  have been together ever since.

Nine years can you believe that! 

However, this is not the way their story started. Ita laid eyes on Alejandro when she was going through some old photos they were actually in a pic together before they even met.

They were both receiving communion for the first time in their church and also a few yrs. later they made their confirmation together without it being planned.

As far as she's concern this was no coincidence!

Ita says of Alejandro that he is a very unique guy you will always see a smile on his face. He's aways positive and outgoing!

And this is why their relationship has been so enjoyable, and is ready and willing to face life with Alejandro as her life partner. 

But life as in every relationship is not perfect. They both admit that there has been battles of leadership between them.

So, as they grew in their relationship they came to realize that there can't be two drivers at the wheel.

Someone has to take a turn sitting in the passengers seat and vice-versa.

So like all couples that love each other they learned to compromise.

They have come to know each other so well. In the nine years together they have shared so many wonderful moments!

They laugh at the same jokes, they can tell what the other one is thinking or going to say (just by a glance) Aejandro said I know it sounds corny, but it's as if Ita is already my other half!

And last of all he expressed, I have always been a firm believer of having a house for Ita before, I ask her to marry me not just giving her a shing rock!

And he did it! They mentioned that they were about to close on their house and together they will turn it into a home!
